You open, close, or save projects from the Project section of the main icon window. You can have multiple projects open at the same time and switch back and forth between them. As you are working with a project, the changes you make are applied to the session as you make them. However, the changes are not permanently saved until you click the Save icon.
You can open a project on any computer that has Genetrix installed and has the project gtx file and the feature-specific annotation file for each data set included in the project. See Viewing and Editing Project Information for additional data.

To open a project
Open the Open a Genetrix Project File window:
This window comes up automatically when you open the Genetrix program.
If Genetrix is already open, click the Open
icon.

Recently opened projects are listed at the top, and a tree structure
is shown in the left pane.

If the project you want to open is not shown,
navigate to it in the left pane (use single-click to open folders).
When a project is selected, data for it appears in the right pane.
Double-click the project you want to open.
The window closes and the project is opened in the main icon window.
From the main icon window, you can manage projects as follows:
