Features Overview

Features are the elements of microarray data included in an analysis. Each feature represents a single tile or location on an array chip. Genetrix supports the following types of features (referred to as platforms):

A Genetrix project can include a single platform or any combination of multiple platforms.

Genetrix also includes access to many different sources of annotations about features that you can use in your analysis. Feature names used in Genetrix are derived from the Entrez/LocusLink database for genes where available. Otherwise the feature's ID number is derived from a chipset annotation file.
