1. Download the setup file to your computer by right clicking the download link and selecting "Save Link As". Do not run the setup file from the Epicenter Software website.
2. Run the setup file as Administrator. For Windows 7 or Windows Vista operating systems, right click the setup file and select "Run as administrator."
3. Follow the prompts and select your preferences for installation.

If installing on a drive other than "C:\" follow the additional steps below:


4. Run mysql-essential-5.1.34-win32.msi or mysql-essential-5.1.34-winx64.msi (located in the Genetrix install folder) as Administrator.
5. When you are prompted to configure MySQL 5.1 after its installation, follow the "Detailed Configuration" steps.
6. Check the box to "Create An Anonymous Account" for MySQL 5.1 when prompted. Note that if you are using this computer as a server, you should consult your system administrator.

Installation is complete. If using Windows 7 or Windows Vista operating systems, Genetrix must be run as Administrator. Right click the .exe file and select "Run as administrator." Right clicking on the shortcut will not give this option. To set these options permanently, check the box to run as administrator and apply changes to the executable.
