Current Openings
C++ Programmer
  • Skills: C++, Visual Studio, Win32/64, MFC, Ankh/subversion, MySQL, scripting (Unix, shell, Perl, PHP, Python, etc.)
  • Required: We are looking for an experienced C++ programmer, in a Windows environment.
  • Desired: A background in biological sciences or bioinformatics would be a plus, as would IT experience in areas such as Subversion versioning, MySQL database development/maintenance, LAN, troubleshooting etc.
  • Responsibilities: The successful applicant will develop, modify and maintain tools for microarray and next-gen sequence analysis using C++ for a MFC application in a 32-bit and 64-bit computing environment, maintain and develop scripts to parse data into meaningful formats and identify, modify, reformat, and integrate biological/genomic annotations from publically available databases. Additional responsibilities include creating a protocol for maintaining version control, and writing and editing technical support documentation for new and existing program features.
R Language Programmer
  • Skills: R, C++, Win32/64
  • Required: We are looking for a programmer with extensive experience in R, and with the R program library Bioconductor. The applicant should also have experience developing in a Windows/C++ environment.
  • Desired: background in biological sciences or bioinformatics would be a plus.
  • Responsibilities: The successful applicant will develop, modify and maintain tools for microarray and next-gen sequence analysis using C++ for a MFC application in a 32-bit and 64-bit computing environment. The successful applicant will build an interface between a comprehensive C++ bioinformatics application and the Bioconductor library, to seamlessly integrate the data management, visualization and biological interpretations provided by the former, with the diverse analytical routines of Bioconductor.
